Drop your skis or board in to the office in Shepherds Bush, W12 0JS, at a prearranged time. Or book in and take advantage of our Monday Meet and Greet Service - One way £5, both drop off and collection £7.50.

SHEPHERDS BUSH DROP OFF TIMES: Beginning Monday 4th November 2024

Monday and Wednesday evenings- 6.15-8pm or Friday mornings 10.30-Midday.

Please make sure you have contacted us to book in for a drop off. We have a limited capacity to service skis each week and cannot accept more than this capacity (first come, first serve). We can arrange drop off times outside of these hours on request. 

All our servicing is completed by hand using state of the art equipment. 

Our Services:

Binding Mounting:

• Drill mounting of flat skis £50
• Re-mounting previously drilled skis with new bindings £60
• Rail mounting skis £25
• Snowboard Binding Setup £25

Full Service: Skis from £50, Snowboards from £60

• Repairs to base and edge burr removal
• Rust removal from edges
• Base clean to remove dirt. This includes a hot scrape to clean and open up pores in your base, allowing better wax hold on reapplication
• Sharpen and bevel edges- hand sharpened to your desired angle for a sharper grip. 
• Edges de-tuned to stop unnecessary grabs while riding
• Hand wax and iron- hand waxing increases penetration of wax into the skis or board, allowing you to ride smoother. 
• Hand scraping and finish
• Base repairs charged separately  

Wax Only: £30

• Base clean to remove dirt. This includes a hot scrape to clean and open up pores in your base, allowing better wax hold on reapplication
• Hand wax and iron- hand waxing increases penetration of wax into the skis or board, allowing you to ride smoother. 
• Hand scraping and finish
• Base repairs charged separately 

Edge Only: £30

• Rust removal from edges

• Edges de-tuned to stop unnecessary grabs while riding

New Ski/Board Tune and Wax: Skis £40, Snowboard £45

• Tune base and side edges to a specified angle. 
• Wax and polish 

 Base Repairs: Starting from £5

• Skis and boards are assessed during drop off 
• We recommend skis with multiple small scuffs all over the base are best to be run over a base grinder. Unfortunately this is a service we can't offer right now but will let you know if this is recommended in your circumstances. 

Summer Storage Service: Skis from £55, Snowboards from £65 

• Make sure your skis or board are in a good condition before storing for the summer. This option includes our full service, with a wax left on to protect your base and edges for those long summer months
• Pop them back in before you head away for your trip and we’ll complete a hand scrape and inspection to finish

 

Express Service (available depending on current demand) £20. 

This includes drop off and collection from Shepherds Bush that is required within 24-48 hours depending on drop off time.

Please note during January and February we are unlikely to be able to offer express servicing.  

About our servicing: 

We use DataWax products for all our servicing. Please do let us know if you need specific angles maintained (or set) or waxes used. Otherwise your equipment will be set to recommended settings depending on the main use of your skis or board. If you would like a wax used by another brand, please drop that off with your equipment and we’ll happily cater for this. 

At present we don’t have the facilities to complete large base and edge repairs (those requiring patches to be cut out and replaced). Significant smaller damage can be repaired using P-tex fillers with repair prices quoted to you on inspection. We recommend every now and again your skis or board have a base grind too which will need to be completed at a larger retailer. Please remember though not to have a base grind completed too frequently as this will limit the life of your equipment.  

All payments to be arranged with us here at Hike and Ride. As a small business, our preferred payment methods are cash or bank transfer. But card facilities and PayPal payment are also available. An invoice will be emailed with every service. 

Please note we cannot accept walk in drop off at our Shepherds Bush location- times need to be pre-approved.

We do not offer any servicing from our Warwickshire address.
